Wild Bleu Cheese Yonder

Wednesday Nov 29, 2023

Wednesday Nov 29, 2023

Aspen and Emma invited the incredible Diego Alvarez into the PodKitchen. Diego talked Air Force, waiting tables, bartending and, of course, cheese.
Diego is the founder of "Royal House of Cheese", Cookeville's first and only charcuterie provider for special occasions, events and gifts. If you haven't had a chance to see the large grazing tables designed and installed by The Royal House of Cheese, make your way over to their instagram account and feast your eyes.
Normal hi jinx ensues as the hosts and Diego discuss server nightmares, Miata clubs and crummy customers.
If you want to know more about Diego, check out Royal House of Cheese on Instagram.

Wednesday Nov 22, 2023

Emma and Aspen sit down and discuss the origins of Black Friday and Small Business Saturday and talk about the impacts these big shopping days have to local business and local communities.
At the end of this episode, we are pretty sure you are going to be interested in buying some plants and candles as gifts instead of Tickle Me Elmos and Unicorn Princess Dolls.
See you on Saturday!

The Audacity of Sarah Collins

Wednesday Nov 15, 2023

Wednesday Nov 15, 2023

Sarah joins Emma and Aspen in the studio to talk about how a trailer full of clothes turns into the coolest boutique in Middle Tennessee. Selling in person and online, Sarah has taken the challenge of reaching an always evolving customer base and made it look effortless.
Although they agree on a lot of business principles, they will have to agree to disagree on Fiddle Leaf Figs. They are single minded on the idea that people should be wearing undergarments. The audacity.

Meg and Luke drop into the studio to chat. They brought an amazing tea and some plum cream cheese muffins. Although it seems ridiculous, you can hear the goodness of these products through your ears. (not ASMR)
A quick backstory and then a discussion on what is "quality food" and why local is important. Luke the farmer and Meg the baker - it wasn't the plan, but it ended up being an incredible bakery and local grocer.
Listen and enjoy, and then head over to the westside and get a sandwich.

Emma Levitz, of Art Round Tennessee, is in the studio to chat all things artistic community, stone carving, and Art Prowl. Emma is the proprietor of Little Mountain Stoneworks
Emma talks about how craft shows, custom work and consignments are the ways she earns from her art. This interview shines a light on what it means to be a working artist in the Upper Cumberland. Making art that is beautiful and functional and building a community of artists around her has been an experiment she has loved.

The Veldt - Ray Bradbury

Tuesday Oct 31, 2023

Tuesday Oct 31, 2023

How is it already the finale? In our opinion, this is the scariest story of the series and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Thanks for sticking with us.
This series has been so fun, rewarding, and inspiring and it wouldn’t have been possible without YOU!
We’re just getting started, so be on the lookout for more creepy Glass Tangerine content!
To wrap things up for now,  we’ve got a whopper.

In this episode, McCray and Andrew tag team “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury.
To us, this tale was the most horrific of all, and we think it’s the perfect ending to our inaugural season!
So, pull the blankets tight, lock the doors, and settle in for “A Podcast To Murder Your Plants To.”

Cool Air - H.P. Lovecraft

Friday Oct 27, 2023

Friday Oct 27, 2023

It’s time we invite H.P. Lovecraft to the party! Join us as Emma, McCray, and Andrew take us on another trip into the night!

H.P. Lovecraft was a complex, often disappointing guy.
However, any honest celebration of the premier creators of horror must feature one of his masterful entries.
For this reason, we have included a Lovecraft staple, “Cool Air.”
In today’s episode, Andrew takes into the depths of H.P.’s brilliance (and darkness) as he reads this deeply disturbing tale about the futility of trying to outrun death.
We think you’ll love it.
So, pull the blankets tight, lock the doors, and settle in for “A Podcast To Murder Your Plants To.”

Join us as we have a fun, informative chat with Cookeville Lifestyle Magazine creator/owner Chelsea Dartez. Chelsea shares her journey as an entrepreneur, training for marathons, and much more on this episode of "A Podcast To Water Your Plants To."

The Carnival - Michael Fedo

Friday Oct 20, 2023

Friday Oct 20, 2023

Population control and terrifying carnival rides? Strap in for this unsettling episode of “A Podcast To Murder Your Plants To!”

This one wrecked us.
It made both McCray and Andrew delightfully unwell.
Emma served as our guide for this jaunt through a dystopian, carnival-based nightmare and we recommend sticking around for the ending.
It’s awful.
So, pull the blankets tight, lock the doors, and settle in for “A Podcast To Murder Your Plants To.”
